Go Violet!
Go Violet!!! Love Mimi Polly and Grandpa Dan
Run, Violet, run—your spirit’s so bright, Your feet are like stars, racing in flight. For One World Project, for laughter, for fun, You’re lighting the path with each step you run. Cheering you on, so proud to say, Go, Violet, go—you’ll shine today!
Go Violet go! We love you!!! Aunt Jenna and Uncle Joe!
One World Project is a special place in our corner of Brooklyn. It’s where Violet goes to school for Preschool, and has for the past 3 years.
Vy looks forward to going to school every day, and she always talks about the fun and fascinating things she does there, like hunting for worms, making ALL kinds of art, playing with her friends and teachers, dancing and playing instruments at music class, and learning Español!
She’s excited that the kids can now participate in an event that they themselves can raise money for and ensure that kids (like her little sister Lilly) can enjoy all the amazing things OWP does everyday by running the OWP 1/2 Mile Fun Run (La Vuelta) today.
Please support Violet as she runs/walks/scoots to the finish line in support of One World Project!
On Saturday, March 15 we’ll be running or walking the Brooklyn Spring Half, 10K, 5K a wonderful event that will allow all our team to pick the race that is best for them.
Friday, April 25 is La Vuelta. We’ll gather at One World Project and the kids (and some grownups) will run or walk or scoot along Vanderbilt, down East 4th, up, along Greenwood Avenue, and up East 3rd. We’ll end the race with a party with upcycled medals for all participants. In Spanish, la vuelta means loop, like the one we’ll do around the block. Vuelta also means return. If your children have grown and you are no longer part of our preschool or after school program please consider La Vuelta an invitation to return to OWP for a visit. We would love to see you!
On Sunday, April 27 we will join half marathoners for NYC Runs, an epic running journey.
With love and care we have built a nurturing school and community center committed to learning. We want to sustain what makes OWP so special and grow our community fund so that OWP is accessible to more families. Together we’ll be working to raise $60,000 to support OWP.
We truly appreciate anything you are able to give.
